SEO visibility check
Check whether your pages can be found, indexed and understood — by a crawler and by the assistants people increasingly ask instead. One URL, no account.
The free run reads metadata and indexability for the URL you enter. Crawls and rank tracking start on a monitored site.
What this check actually reads
Rankings are an outcome, not a setting. This looks at the mechanics underneath them: whether a page can be crawled, whether it says what it is, whether two pages claim to be the same one, and whether the answer someone is searching for is on the page in a form a machine can quote.
- Indexability
robots, noindex, canonical conflicts — pages excluded by accident.
- Titles and descriptions
Missing, duplicated across templates, or truncated in results.
- Structured data
Product, article and organisation markup, and whether it validates.
- Internal linking
Pages nothing links to are pages nothing finds.
- Answerability
Whether a page states the answer, or only implies it.
What a result looks like
One paginated template accounts for all 14.
robots.txt and canonicals agree throughout.
In the sitemap, linked from nowhere on the site.
The report names each page, the template it came from and the change that fixes it. No visibility score is issued — the number that matters is whether the specific pages you care about are indexable, and that is a list, not a percentage.
A check tells you about today. Monitoring tells you at 04:00.
The expensive SEO failures are silent and instant: a staging noindex shipped to production, a canonical rewritten by a plugin, a migration that redirected the wrong half of a catalogue. Monitoring re-crawls on a schedule, diffs against the last crawl, and tells you which release changed it.
Common questions
- Is this the same engine as the paid monitoring?
- Yes — the same checks, run the same way. The difference is that monitoring repeats them on a schedule and keeps the history, which is what turns a number into a trend and a trend into an alert.
- Does testing my site slow it down or change anything?
- No. Everything is read from the outside, the way a visitor arrives — no agent, no script on your pages, nothing written. Our requests identify themselves so you can recognise them in your own logs.
- Will this improve my rankings?
- Not on its own. It finds the mechanical problems that stop good content from ranking — and catches the day something breaks. Anyone promising rankings from a technical audit is guessing about an algorithm neither of us can see.
- Does it connect to Search Console?
- Yes, and it works without it. Connecting adds the queries and impressions Google will share; everything else — crawlability, metadata, structured data, internal links — is measured directly from your site.
